In Ethiopia, where a number of casualties after a bomb attack that was presumably caused by ethnic conflicts about two months ago occurred, conferences are to be held for each sector of the society to foster regional reconciliation and build sustainable peace.
The conferences on the prosperity and security of Africa which would be based on peace, would be attended by youth, women, media, religious and political leaders, among others will take place at Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia, on August 15 to 16, 2018. This series of peace conferences is being organized by an international peace NGO called Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light (HWPL) under the UN ECOSOC along with representatives from various sectors and organizations in Ethiopia.
The details include:
|August15th||10:30:12:30||2018 Ethiopia Women’s Peace Conference|
|16:00:18:00||Ethiopia Peace Conference|
|August16th||09:00-11:00||Open Dialogue with Religious Leaders|
|15:00-16:30||2018 Addis Ababa Summit:International Cooperation for Sustainable Peace|
On the August 15, groups of youth and women will talk about the ethnic or regional conflicts that have been continuing until recently and also discuss the legalization of peace necessary for harmony and reconciliation among nations.
The host organization, HWPL, is proposing the Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War (DPCW) as a resolution for establishing a legally binding law for peace that can fundamentally prevent war and conflict.
On the August 16, there will be a forum for interfaith dialogue to promote a network among Christian denominations for the understanding of the meaning of the scripture and the 2018 Addis Ababa Summit to strengthen a cooperative partnership for regional stability and peace by reaffirming the importance of the implementation of an international/internal law for peace.
